This major update includes some of the most requested features from our user community, making Camelot smarter, faster, and more intuitive than ever.
Whether you’re managing backing tracks, switching between songs and scenes, optimizing system performance, or customizing your setup, Camelot 2.3.0 puts complete creative control at your fingertips. Read on to discover what’s new in this game-changing release!
🎵 1. Global Backing Track Control with Racks
You asked—we delivered. Camelot 2.3.0 introduces the ability to group and manage backing tracks globally using Song and Setlist Racks.
Now, you can assign audio tracks directly to racks for unified control. Want to adjust levels or apply reverb to all your backing tracks at once? No problem. It’s ideal for live performance setups, offering powerful mix control without unnecessary complexity.
🎹 2. A Smarter Header for Seamless Navigation
Meet the new interactive header—a game-changer for navigating your performance!
You’ll now see two dedicated slots: one for Songs and one for Scenes, each displaying current and next selections, plus a handy counter. Click on either to open a quick-access side panel with the full song or scene list, accessible from anywhere in Camelot. Designed for stress-free live transitions!
⚙️ 3. Unlock Full Power with Multi-Core Optimization
Ready for a performance boost? With multi-core optimization, Camelot now fully utilizes the processing power of your device.
Head to Settings > Audio and turn on this new feature to maximize CPU efficiency—especially useful on modern multi-core devices. The result? Smoother performance, more stability, and more power for your plugins and layers.
🔻 4. An Upgraded Footer for Better Workflow
The enhanced footer in Camelot 2.3.0 makes navigation clearer than ever.
Buttons now include contextual labels:
-
Setlist for Songs,
-
Song for Scenes and Timeline,
-
Scene for Layers and Attachments.
We’ve also added a brand-new Remote button under Global for quick access to remote control options. And don’t worry—the Key Range button is still there, now conveniently tucked into the Layers menu.
🖱️ 5. Long-Press Shortcuts & a Cleaner Interface
Speed up your workflow with long-press shortcuts! You can now hold down on items (like scenes) to instantly enter edit mode—no need to tap the pencil icon anymore.
We’ve also made thoughtful GUI updates to prevent accidental edits. For example, dragging tracks in the Backing Tracks section now works only in edit mode—so your live set stays safe.
🎛️ 6. Remote Control, Reimagined
The Remote Control feature has been completely redesigned for ease of use.
Access it right from the footer and view all remote options in one place. Whether you’re assigning actions to a MIDI controller, computer keyboard, or managing multiple Camelot instances, the new interface makes it faster and easier than ever.
Control everything, your way—no more clicking through endless menus.
🗂️ 7. Customizable Full-Screen Attachments
Full-screen mode just got personal. You can now choose which controls appear during full-screen viewing of attachments.
Hold the Eye (Visibility) icon and toggle elements like:
-
Song List
-
Scene List
-
Transport Bar
-
Navigation Controls
-
And the all-new Day/Night mode for contrast control
Make full-screen fit your style!
🌈 8. Add Color to Your Setup
Stay organized at a glance by assigning custom colors to your Songs and Scenes.
Choose from a full color palette to personalize your workflow and easily identify different sections of your set. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in complex performances.
🛠️ 9. Smarter Settings, Smoother Sessions
Camelot 2.3.0 adds new settings to help you work more flexibly:
-
Select custom file paths for your backing tracks, including external drives and USBs.
-
Choose to keep plugin windows open between scene changes—perfect for keeping an eye on your plugin screen when needed by your performance.
More control, more efficiency, less disruption.
