The MIDI engine in Camelot is not limited to sending only basic messages, it delivers you a plug & play experience with your Instruments.
Standard MIDI
Camelot supports ANY MIDI devices through
standard MIDI messages. You can create your own “custom maps” to select presets and send special MIDI messages, if needed, grouped by
Manufacturer / Device Model.
Smart Maps – Camelot Unique Feature
Camelot Smart Maps deeply communicate with Hardware devices, allowing you to recall your hardware presets with a minimal knowledge of MIDI. You can switch modes or manage multi-part patches in Camelot without accessing the panel of your instruments.
Camelot provides a unified experience in managing all hardware devices, but each manufacturer and device offers a different MIDI implementation chart. The number of features supported depend on the device and manufacturer.

Camelot can host Software Instruments and FX as plugins, depending on the operating system and the device.
macOS (AU, VST & VST3 – 64 bit only)
Audio Units and VST 64bit plugin Instruments are supported. 32bit plugins are not supported. The Audio FX and MIDI Processors Plugins are supported as Insert FX on each Layer.

Windows (VST, VST3 – 64 bit only)

Running Camelot itself is not very demanding in terms of system resources, everything depends on the type and number of plugin Instruments, FX and Audio Backing Tracks that are loaded. The MIDI management for the hardware device is pretty light and can manage very well complex MIDI routing and connection even on slower computers.
